Dr. Leonidas Alexandros Kouris holds a five-year diploma of civil engineering with a specialisation in structural engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2004). He subsequently followed a master degree in earthquake engineering at the same university (2005). He worked as a consultant engineer taking part in several projects such as restorationof medieval monuments, design of public buildings and assessment of school edifices. He received a PhD from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2012) in the field of seismic vulnerability of timber framed structures and a second one from Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori di Pavia in 2015 on the dynamic identification of masonry buildings. He iscurrently an adjunct Professor at the University of Pavia - Italy and a postdoc researcher at EUCENTRE, Pavia.
