Sheila Lahiri Choudhury was associated with the Department of English, Jadavpur University, Kolkata (India) for the last thirty years, teaching Victorian and Modern Literature. Her earliest work on D.H.Lawrence was a dissertation submitted at Leeds University in UK. Subsequently she did her PhD from Jadavpur University. She has several published articles in National and International Journals: most of these have been published in the book entitled An Alternative Gaze, in 2008.
