María Fernanda Luzuriaga Torres, is currently Professor at the Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica, Ecuador, where she teaches architectural design and urban design studios.
She was the Adjunct Lecturer of the post-degree Master in Territorial Planning and Urban Design at the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja, Ecuador.
This master is an advanced, interdisciplinary, program of studies focused on contemporary challenges of urbanism in Andean middle-cities and territories exploring the relationships between ecological discourses and issues of social equity.
Her research focuses on the intersection of urban design, architectural design and social sciences.
Concepts such as territory rural Andean, minga, extractivism in rural Andean can be considered as specific aggregation devices of her research/design.
