Dalius Vrubliauskas

Dalius Vrubliauskas, after the graduation of gymnasium in 1981, has entered Vilnius Academy of Arts, faculty of architecture, speciality “conservation of architectural monuments” and graduated Academy in 1986, with MA thesis of the “Conversion and adaptation of the former palace and orangery at No 8th at Barboros Radvilaitės street , Vilnius”.
After the return from being recruited to soviet military service, He started research and design activities in the State Institute for the Conservation of Architectural Heritage Monuments, where He led a group of researchers on architecture and polychromy in all Lithuania and Ukraine.
In 1989 He participated in the exchange program (IEP) under the US ICOMOS line and worked for US National Park Service HABS/HAER–Historic Architectural Building Service/Historic American Engineering Record couple of months on the objects of the Technical Heritage in Pennsylvania, Cambria County, Johnstown city under the supervision of dr. Charles Bergengren and area manager Grey Fitzpatrick.
Since 1992 his activities were altered towards professional consultations in a field of architectural heritage, as one of the founders of JSC Architektai and participated in a number of TA projects, supported by Danish State. As technical coordinator, along with the Lithuanian colleagues He took part in Vilnius Old Town Revitalisation Strategy Project, subsidised by IBRD together with consultants from Denmark, Scotland.
During the year 1997 He was UNESCO fellow at Edinburgh Old Town Renewal Trust and later on, for nearly a year, was temporary director of OTRA, Vilnius Old Town Renewal Agency.
During 2000- 2003 He was appointed as Local Project manager for the joint Danish and Lithuanian project InterSave to create a Vilnius Heritage Buildings Register.
In early of 1994 He was invited to Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Faculty of Architecture. Since the establishment of the Department of the Fundamentals of Architecture and Theory in 2002, he does teaching and lecturing various aspects of the Composition of Architecture and Protection Of Cultural Heritage.
Two years in a row He was asked to state as Creative director on the Lithuanian project “Raudona Lieka” (“Red Stays”) which aim is to protect Architectural Heritage of Northern Lithuania.
