Francisco Oliva Blázquez is Professor of Civil Law at the University Pablo de Olavide (Seville). Dr. Oliva has done different research stays in prestigious universities and international research centers as the Institute for the Unification of Private Law (Rome), the Faculty of Law of the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (London). He has also been Visitor Scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and Visitor Professor at the School of Business Administration of the University of Miami (USA). Besides, he is lecturer at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) since 2002 and regularly participates as Visiting Professor at the Doctorate in Law of the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar, Quito (Ecuador). Dr. Oliva is the author of more than ninety publications in form of monographs, manuals and articles in reviews and collective works, and has been invited to give lectures in different countries of the world, as Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, USA, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Spain.
