Senior teaching associate and post–doctoral researcher at the University of Bristol, and a post–doctoral researcher at Lancaster University, UK. Her first monograph, Writing Place, will be published by Routledge in 2018. She has also published on mapping urban space, the country house motif, and Bakhtin. Her research interests include: George Gissing and the fin–de–siècle, literature and place, and the long nineteenth century. The co–creator of the smart–phone app: Romantic Bristol: Writing the City, Rebecca is currently working on the AHRC funded project, “Creating a Chronotopic Ground for the Mapping of Literary Texts” at Lancaster University.
