In 2001 Roberta Costa achieved the Degree in Management Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, in 2002 a Master Degree in Management Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata“ and in 2004 a PhD in Management Engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. Since 2008 she is Assistant Professor and teaches Engineering Economy at the Department of Enterprise Engineering of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, where she also teaches Project Management at the Master in International Human Capital Management and Development. She taught Engineering Economy at the University of Rome “Cattolica”. She taught also Project Financing in a series of seminars for the Doctorate in Project Financing technique and strategy at the University of Rome “Luiss Guido Carli” and for the Master in Analysis, evaluation and management of projects realized by Project Financing at the Faculty of Economy of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. She participated to projects on the theme of innovation and technology transfer: the project Laboratory of Innovation (sponsored by the chamber of Commerce of Rome) that aimed at the technological development of Italian SME; the project Diamond: Development and Innovation for Aerospace and Medical-biotechnologies Oriented to Networks and Districts (sponsored by the Province of Rome) with the purpose to promote technological transfer between Research Centers, University and Italian SME; the Research Project FIRB An holistic model for managing and measuring Intellectual Capital that aimed at creating Knowledge Management models and methodologies, testing them in Italian SME.
Her research interests are: corporate social responsibility, knowledge management, intangibles measurement, productivity and efficiency evaluation, human resource performance, performance evaluation in virtual teams. She is author of about thirty scientific papers with international audiences.
