Prof. Sergio Martellucci was appointed Full Professor of Physics of the University of Naples (1977–1982), and of the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” (from 1982 to present). Previously, he worked with the Italian Agency for Nuclear Energy (now enea) in Frascati (Italy) on the European Thermonuclear Fusion Research Program from 1960 to 1977. He is co-Director of the Int’l School of Quantum Electronics and of the Int’l School of Fusion Reactors Technology of the Foundation and Centre of Scientific Culture “Ettore Majorana”, Erice (Italy). Prof. Martellucci graduated in Physics (1960) and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics and Plasma Physics (1965) from the University of Rome, Italy.
