Maria Grazia Dongu is Associate Professor of English Literature at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Cagliari. Her research activities are focused on both theatre (on which she wrote essays about Middleton, Brome, Jonson, Marston and Chapman) and travel literature, questioned upon a diachronic vision of the gloden age of the Grand Tour (especially concentrating her attention on the letters written by Thomas Gray), the travel reports to be found in Charles Dickens' journals, and a novel (never translated into Italian language) by W. E. Norris.
