Natalie Bell Cole is Professor of English at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Her survey of gender-related literary criticism of work by Charles Dickens, Dickens and Gender, 1992-2008, is forthcomingin 2009 from AMS Press. She has also published work on Bentham, Wilkie Collins, Dickens, Hawthorne, and Meredith, and chaired the 2003 Dickens Symposium hosted by Oakland University.
