Serena Doria was born in Rome on 29 September 1966. She received her degree in Mathematics in January 1992 at the University of Rome La Sapienza. She was researcher in Probability and mathematical statistics at the University Roma III from 1995-96 and at the University La Sapienza of Rome from 1996-97. She has been researcher in Probability and Statistics at the University G.d'Annunzio of Chieti since 1997. She has begun her research activity in the field of neural networks with the analysis of the role of chaos in highly diluted asymmetrical neural networks; the results show that there is a region in the phase space where chaotic states of the system and memorization of patterns are obtained. Then she has focused her interest on conditional probability defined by coherence according to the approach proposed by de Finetti and Dubins.
