Laura Capuano was born in Salerno in 1987. After receiving a PhD in Mathematics at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa in 2014 under the supervision of Umberto Zannier, she has been research fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore, the University of Oxford and the Politecnico di Torino. She is now a research fellow (RTDb) at the University of Roma Tre.
Her research interests lie in the fields of number theory and diophantine geometry, more specifically in the theory of unlikely intersections and continued fractions. She is also interested in applications of number theory to criptography.
