Isabel Cristina Flores Hernández received a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in stage direction from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) Moscow (Russia), where she studied with M. Knébel. She is currently Professor–Researcher and Dean of Research at the Faculty of Arts of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP). She is a member of the Mexican National System of Researchers (SNI), recognised as a member of the National System of Art Creators (SNCA). She is founder of the BA in Dramatic Art and of the new Master’s programme in Theory and Practice of the Performing Arts at BUAP, Vice–President of the International University Theatre Association AITU/IUTA, member of the Latin American Network of University Theatre Creation and Research (Red–CITU).
