Swat Kulashri is an experienced researcher holding dual master’s degrees in City Planning and European Territorial Development. Currently, he leads the EU-funded project U_CAN, working with eight Ukrainian cities to foster resilience, post-war reconstruction, and carbon neutrality initiatives. The project aims to seamlessly integrate these cities into the European Green Deal framework, contributing to their sustainable and resilient future. As a Researcher at HafenCity University and Technical University Dresden, he manages cooperation efforts with developing nations and Smart City Dresden. He has also contributed to EU-Interreg projects focused on sustainable urban development and mobility in the Baltic Sea Region. Previously, as a co-principal investigator at CSIR-CBRI India, he spearheaded national flagship projects in collaboration with central and state ministries, the UNDP, local authorities, and end-users. His work spanned regional development, infrastructure planning, rural area upgradation, and capacity building across 14 states in India.He is passionate about policy research and developing innovation strategies that drive regional development and sustainable urban growth.
