I have been working for Kentalis since 2000, when I finished my Ph.D in Applied Linguistics at the University in Nijmegen. My thesis focused upon bilingual language processing in unimodal bilinguals. At Kentalis I have been working on several projects, most of them with deaf or hard-of-hearing children in primary education. I’m currently involved in (a) a project that evaluates a co-enrollment school for deaf, hard-of-hearing and hearing children in the Netherlands and (b) several projects on the quality of instruction for deaf and hard-of-hearing children in special and mainstream schools. My other research interests are language processing in bimodal and unimodal bilinguals.
