Gukov Yury Yurjevich was born on March 02, 1965 in Leningrad (nowadays Saint Petersburg) in the family of scientists–geologist. The interest to culture and art prevailed at his home and in his environment. In 1991 he graduated the Leningrad High Art and Industrial School of V.I. Muhina (nowadays the State Art and Industrial Academy of A. I. Shtiglits.) His practical job goes with theoretical researches (PhD of culturology, Moscow State University, 1999). He has been a teacher art at high art schools or Saint Petersburg over the last twenty years
