Francesc Feliu Torrent
Francesc Feliu is Professor of History of the Catalan language at the University of Girona, he is devoted to the study of literary language and the edition of Catalan texts, especially those of the eighteenth century.
Currently, he collaborates with Professor Josep M. Nadal on the continuation of the work Història de la llengua catalana.
Among his most recent publications, we can highlight «Esmolar la llengua a la forja de les traduccions» (2008), «La “questione della lingua” a Girona» (2009) or, together with Joan Ferrer, «La llengua de l’heroi. Notes sobre la llengua del segle xx a partir de les traduccions catalanes de David Copperfield, de Charles Dickens» (2010), «Judaeo-Catalan: in search of a mediaeval dialect that never was» (2011).
