Marta Cova studied Biomedical Sciences in University of Aveiro and finished her Master’s Degree in July 2013.
Part of her thesis was done in the Medical Proteome Center of Bochüm (Germany).
She is interested in the role of glycosylation, one of the major post-translational modifications, in host-pathogen interactions.
Currently, her Ph.D. research project at ISGlobal-CRESIB (Barcelona) mainly focused in sugar nucleotides and metabolic routes of UDP-galactose and UDP-N-acetylglucosamine in Plasmodium falciparum.
