Alberto Ventura graduated in Physics from Università Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna in 1970. In 1974 he postgraduated fellowship at the same University. From 1975 to 2013 he was researcher at the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Economic Sustainable Development (ENEA), formerly National Committee for Nuclear Energy (CNEN). From 2013 to now he is senior associate researcher at the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), Bologna section.
