Earned her doctorate in Performance Studies from New York University. She teaches dance and theatre history as well as the history of western humanities at Southern Virginia University. She published Il Balletto Rromantico: Tesori della collezione Sowell (Palermo, 2007) with her husband, and Patrizia Veroli and Francesca Falcone.
