Gloria Berlier has achieved a Degree in Chemistry, at the University of Turin in 1997. Has achieved the PhD in Chemical Science in 2001. From 2006 is in Permanent position as Researcher in Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the same University, currently at Department of Chemistry. The research activity is set in the field of material structure, with specific interest to the modification of electronic and surface properties passing from bulk to nanostructured materials. The main fields concern Material and Surface Chemistry, with particular focus on the determination of the structure of active sites in adsorption phenomena and catalytic processes. This was based on experimental studies withfocus on high surface area materials including silica based ordered micro- and mesoporous materials(zeolites, MCM-41 etc.), microporous aluminophosphates (AlPOs), nanostructured oxides and supportednanoparticles showing redox, Brønsted and Lewis surface sites.
