Full Professor (PO), ICAR/13 — Industrial Design, Department of Architecture and Design (DAD), University of Genoa. ORCID: 0000-0002-3736-1817. Principal nvestigator of the Smart Mobility Design research programme (PRA 2024, University of Genoa) and Director of the Design del Prodotto 2 studio — the academic laboratory in which the six-year micromobility research programme documented in this volume was developed. His research spans vehicle design, nautical and cruise ship design, sustainable urban mobility and design education. He has addressed the impact of Covid-19 on cruise ship design paradigms, the transition to electric and autonomous vehicle architectures, and the role of design research in shaping future urban transport systems. He is author of over thirty peer-reviewed publications, with contributions to international conferences and journals including Springer, IOS Press and Design Research Society volumes. He has directed numerous thesis and laboratory projects on micro-vehicle design within the Master’s Degree in Product Event Design at the University of Genoa, producing the corpus of design research that constitutes the empirical foundation of this volume.
