Salvatore Vaccaro is associate professor of chemical engineering at the University of Salerno. His research activity regarded the study of engineering problems and of processes of relevant interest in the fields of energy and environment. He is author of more than 60 publications in books and international journals and of at least the same number of communications to national and international symposia. He is co-author of an italian patent. He presented many works to national and international symposia. He was invited to chair sessions of some symposia. He has been scientific responsible of various national and international research projects. He collaborated and collaborates with various public national and international research institutions and with industrial firms to study and develop catalysts and processes. He is referee of papers in the fields of combustion, of powder technology and of industrial catalysis for different international journals. He unfolded the role of supervisor and control of industrial research activities carried out by relevant Italian companies under grants of Italian CNR. He made evaluation and control of research projects carried out by relevant Italian companies and financed by Italian ministry of research and university or by ministry of economic development.
