David Martin
David Martin has carried out extensive research on student engagement with particular emphasis on first year university students. He has delivered an academic skills module at NUI Maynooth both face to face and online. The online module has enabled NUIM students to participate in the class from various locations throughout Ireland and as far away as Prague in the Czech Republic. He also participated in designing the curriculum and course content for this module. His main research interest is in the first year experience for university students and the provision of equality of opportunity for all such students.
